Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
IT STARTS AS A FEW LITTLE BUMPS ON MY LOWER LEG OR MY LOWER ARM. THE FIRST TIME I HAD THEM WAS ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO IN THE WINTER SO I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS DRY SKIN. ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO I STARTED GETTING THEM ON MY LOWER LEG. THEY START ITCHING REALLY BAD AND THEN START SPREADING AND LOOK LIKE LITTLE WELPS UNDER MY SKIN. SOMETIME LITTLE BLISTERS APPEAR AN BUST. I TRY NOT TO STRACH THEM. LAST WINTER I HAD THEM ON MY ARM SO BAD THAT I HAD SWELLING. IT WAS ON THE FRONT OF MY LOWER ARM. THE STRANGE THING IS THAT IF I GET THEM ON ONE LEG OR ARM AFTER THEY START GOING AWAY I GET THEM ON THE OTHER LEG OR ARM AT THE SAME PLACE. THIS AS BEEN GOING ON NOW FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS. NOW I ALSO HAVE THEM IN MY HAIR AT THE LOWER PART OF MY HEAD. I DO NOT TAKE ANY KIND OF MEDICINE AND I M VERY HEALTHY PERSON THAT NEVER GETS SICK. I M A FEMALE AND ALMOST 60 YRS OLD.
First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, you need a dermatologist review and it can be allergic rash or chronic eczema but pustular psoriasis etc should be ruled out.
If it's difficult to access a dermatologist, you can share the pictures of rash on healthcare forums in queries directed to a dermatologist and get proper guidance accordingly. Meanwhile, OTC antihistamines like cetrizine etc can be used.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
