Suggest Treatment For Burn Scar On Face
Hi my daughter fell and bruised the side of her face and I applied undiluted savlon to it to clean it and then polysporin. I used these twice a day for 5/6 days straight and then took her to a doctor who told me to stop using them and use an antibiotic cream. I only realised after using it burnt her skin and made it worse. The scabs fell off but now her skin is pink. What can I use to prevent scarring?

Hello,
It is a superficial scar and will heal by itself. You can wait three to four weeks for spontaneous recovery.
Generally, it will heal completely without any visible lesions. If the white patch persists, better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated. In that case, newer techniques like LASER can be attempted.
