Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation During Urination
I had the flu and am recovering. I had a fever for a while. The past two days I ve had to pee more frequently, especially at night and it burns a bit. I suspect I have a blatter infection and have bought cranberry juice to drink and also cranberry urinary tract health tablets. If it is blatter infection will this only mask the symptoms or will they go away since it is a mild case. Otherwise, do I need to make another appointment to see the doctor, as I did for the flu?

Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. Siddartha's Response
Hello,
Cranberry juice prevents recurrent urinary tract infections (bladder infection), but it won't cure the present infection. Please go for complete urine analysis including culture and sensitivity. Meet general physician with the above said reports and take an antibiotic course. Once again cranberry juice is healthy and prevents recurrent tract infections.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Siddartha
