Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation In The Chest Area
Hello ... thank you I m 69 years old male smoker (6 cigarettes a day), I had MI 16 years ago which resulted in a scar in the LV. My EF is 35. Three years ago i had a burning sensation in the chest and went to the ER many times and my cardiologist said it s not from the heart. This pain disappeared for three years and came back two months ago and until now no doctor could diagnose the cause although i take Nixium and my BP is good. Recently my BNP was 415 and last year it was 270. Appreciating your professional opinion on this and I am ready to provide any additional information as needed. Thank you again,

Thanks for posting your query.
You are having Gastroesophageal reflux disease. This is a condition where there occurs excess production of Acid in the stomach which refluxes upward towards mouth causing the burning sensation.
The nexium what you are taking controls to some extent the excess production of Acid in the stomach but it will not control the reflux. You need to be started on Anti reflux medicine like Domperidone or Levosulpride .
Kindly ask your doctor for prescrition of Domperidone or Levosulpride and use it for 2 weeks and if the problem persists then get an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy scan done and revert back.
Hope this information was useful to you. Any clarifications feel free to ask.
Regards.
