Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

In shattered calcaneus bone there are bony spicules on the outside which may be causing pressure / stretching on the nerves leading to a burning sensation. Another possibility could be slipped disc. Please consult any orthopedic surgeon for proper examination, diagnosis and treatment.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Gopal Goel,
