Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation In The Penis While Urination And Splitting Of Foreskin
hello I am 60 yrs old and about six months ago I noticed a burning sensation on my penis when I urinated and since I am un circumcised , I have noticed that the foreskin is splitting.i have tried Neo-sporin and it helps a little also I wash with anti-bacterial soap.
I want to know - 1) Presence of diabetes. 2) Family history of diabetes. 3) Any increased frequency of urination with increased thirst or weight loss. 4) Any suprapubic or lumbar pain
I would advise you to do- 1) Complete blood count. 2) Urine examination. 3) Blood sugar testing (fasting and postprandial) preferably oral glucose tolerance test, as your present symptoms may be due to new onset diabetes.
Depending upon your test result and clinical examination of private part there may be need for antibiotics and rapid blood sugar control if newly detected diabetes.
