Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation In Throat After Taking Aciclovir

i was told i had shingles by my doctor yesterday she prescibed aciclovir and tramadol, every time i take the aciclovir i am very sick i cant even keep down water and i get an intense burning sensation in my throat, i have only tried to have dry toast and lots of water since yesterday

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Both acyclovir and tramadol can be associated with nausea.

You may need to consider the use of an anti emetic to control this side effects. Over the counter examples are dramamine and peptobismol.
Ginger tea is also helpful for nausea.

You may also have to use small quantities of food.
If the effect is still intolerable then you may have to speak to your doctor.
