General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

Diabetes is a common cause of peripheral neuropathy which can cause burning sensation of feet. You have mentioned that your sugar levels are within the normal range which is really good. Glycomet can cause vitamin B12 deficiency and subsequent neuropathy. Hence routine B12 tablets should be taken along with glycomet. Drugs like amitriptylline or gabapentin can be taken at night after ruling out any contraindications.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
