Suggest Treatment For Candida Infection On Inner Thighs And Breast
I have candids developed on my inner thighs and on my right breast..but my fear is i had a surgery for a lump that developed on my right breast ..in biopsy it was diagonised as fibroadenoma...does the candid under my right breast indicate complications i also feel heat and pain but my mensus are yet to come
Fibroadenoma is a very common lump seen in young women and it has no complication. It is not at all related to breast cancer or candidiasis. Candidiasis is cause by a fungus and usually develops when the skin is damp for long times. I would advise you to avoid wearing undergarments whenever possible and wear airy loose cotton clothes so as to keep the skin dry. You need to keep the skin clean and dry all the time to avoid it coming up in future also.
If you happen to sweat then you must change your clothes immediately. Please dry your clothes properly before wearing. You can iron your clothes before wearing to get rid of the moisture in clothes. You can apply antifungal ointments like miconazole over the affected area for at least 1 to 2 months even after the patch disappears to avoid recurrence. You should get your sugar levels tested as candidiasis is seen in diabetics more.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
