Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it is true that if your son has decayed teeth there are chances that there must be pain while chewing on them and that has led to chewing from only one side where there is no pain and discomfort.
The other thing is that as he is 8 years old he must be having his few
Permanent teeth also erupted which begins at the age of 6 years..
So the first thing you should do is to take him to a Paediatric
dentist and get evaluated and get an
x ray done of which teeth whether milk teeth or permanent one are decayed and after x ray the dentist will do the needful treatment as in case if milk tooth are involved retaining then till they naturally fall or extracting them can solve the purpose..
While if the permanent teeth are decayed all attempts will be made to save them as he has a long way to go with the permanent teeth..
The teeth will keep growing that are permanent but the decayed teeth needs treatment for preserving them for rest of the life..
Hope this information helps..
