Suggest Treatment For Chest Congestion And Coughing Up Of Green Fluid

I have ms and I ve started coughing up green fluid. As far as symptoms it feels like a cold maybe flue. I just don t feel good. I ve been taking alka-seltzer plus multi-symptom severe cough, mucus & congestion. Is there anything more I can or should be doing? I ve been sick sick off and on for a month. How long can I safely take this medicine. Thank you

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from Upper respiratory tract infection leading to cough,mucous and congestion..
As you are taking Alka Seltzer that contains Chlorpheniramine Maleate that is an anti allergic and Phenylephrine that is a decongestant is appropriate medication..
Along with it you should also take mucolytics like Ambroxol to loosen and release cough..
You can also take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
You can do warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room...
You can chew Vitamin C pellets..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods and sip on plenty of warm water and other warm fluids..
Saline nasal spray can be used as it help in relieving nasal congestion..
