Suggest Treatment For Chest Congestion, Runny Nose And Watery Eyes
I have constant heavy running nose, congestion, chest congestion, runny eyes not just watery, I mean running eyes. cough, low energy. I don t detect any fever. This is day four, with no improvement. Appetite is good. I usually recover quickly from a cold, but this is more persistent than in the past. Is this indicative of the current strain of flu? Do I need to see a health professional?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having symptoms of chest congestion, runny nose and watery eyes which is due to severe upper respiratory infection. It seems to be due to sinus infection leading to sinusitis. Poor immunity of body is exaggerating your symptoms. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get paranasal sinus x-ray and chest x-ray done so as to detect level of infection and treatment can be started accordingly. You should avoid use of spicy, sharp oily and fried food substances. Apply mist humidifiers in room. You should take throat soothing agents. You should take combination of antibiotic Levofloxacin along with antihistamine such as Levocetirizine. You should do warm saline rinses 3-4 times a day. You should avoid cold carbonated beverages.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
