Suggest Treatment For Chest Congestion, Sore Throat And Cough

Hello, I ve had what I believe is a some sort of cold for the past seven days. It started as a sore throat, then turned into aches and pains in my body followed by a fever. A day or so later my chest became extremely congested and I ended up loosing my voice, as well as developing a cough primarily when I m lying in bed. The chest congestion seems to be clearing up and I was able to get some of my voice back. However, now it seems the sinus pressure is much worse. What I m mostly concerned about is I have developed two black eyes and my face is now tender to touch. I scoured the Internet and found nothing else linking illness to random black eyes. Just making sure it s nothing serious.

As per your complain the symptoms of cold, congestion, sinus pressure and fever along with loss of voice that is Laryngitis seems to be due to causes like Upper Respiratory Tract infection or common cold or can be due to Influenza or Flu, chest infection..
I would suggest you to consult an Infectious Medicine Specialist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like blood tests and throat swab culture can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised to take a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, fever reducer like Tylenol , anti allergics like Levocetrizine,decongestants like Phenylephrine and mucolytics like Ambroxol..
Do steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
Chew a Vitamin C pellet daily..
