Suggest Treatment For Chest Infection
Doctor, I have and infection in my chest keloid tissue and the bubble bust with a bit of blood and yellow fluid but there is no foul smell. I underwent CABG 9 years back. One doctor advised me to apply betatine and prescribed Augmatin 650mg. Is that okay or should I go for some other medication? On second day today the would is bit better and when i pressed a clear liquid of about 4 drops came out. I think infection is getting controlled but fear that ulceration may form because of liquid built up. Please advice

Augmentin is having combination of amoxicillin and clavulinic acid.
It is good drug for skin infections.
So you can definitely use betadine and Augmentin for chest wall wound.
Just finish the 7 day course.
You will mostly improve with betadine and Augmentin.
If not improving then consult doctor.
