Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain And Metallic Taste In Mouth
Yes hello there. My friend called me from a lease road and he said that he had pain in his chest and swallowed what tasted like blood once. Now his chest still hurts but nothing else. Does this sound like a life threatening situatiion? Thank you so much
As per your query pain in the Upper abdomen just below the ribs on left side is not a serious condition. If the same pain is on Right side, you should exclude Liver ,Gall bladder disorders. But, If the pain is occurring on the left side of the chest and radiate towards left arm , neck and jaw then it need proper medical evaluation . You should consult cardiologist for proper evaluation . Doctor may order ECG , TMT test , blood tests and X-ray of upper respiratory track to rule out any cardiac disease and upper respiratory infection as a cause of blood in mouth.
The symptoms you mention also resemble to gastrointestinal reflux disease like blood like taste and heart burn . So also consult gastroenterologist .
Hope your concern has been resolved. Dr. Harry Maheshwari
