Pleuritic pain isn't necessarily pleurisy. An irritated lining around the heart can cause symptoms that reoccur repeatedly. If so, there are medicines that can help to suppress it like colchicine. Your doctor will need more information. I usually like to ask about inflamed joints, skin rashes, hair loss or affected family members. some blood work looking for illnesses that irritate organ linings are also useful. Discuss these options with your doctor.
