Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my 2 year old grandson has chicken pox. He is covered from head to toe in "pox" which is not worrying. Howevr, his mother called me now to say that 6 or 7 of these "pox" marks have red rings around them. Is this a sign of infection and should she be worried? He has a slight temp and a bit of a cough too
Hi...by what you say I feel that your grandson may be developing secondary bacterial infection in the chickenpox lesions...or it could be normal also.
Skin conditions are best diagnosed only after seeing directly. I suggest you to upload photographs of the same on this website, so that I can guide you scientifically.
