Suggest Treatment For Child Depression While On Hydrocortisone

My 11 yr grandson has recently and rapidly gained 50 pounds in last year (stress for him mom and depression after she passed). He usually stays active (little league and soccer teams) but we are finally getting serious about what we eat. Main problem right now is between his fat folds near his pelvic area. It s been 4 days since he showed me (his Gramma on Mom s side who just finished adoption process:) ) he s very embarrassed to go to Dr. s. I ve used regular baby powder after showering and drying or Hydrocortisone 1%. Loose boxers too. Aside from going to the Dr. which we will be going within next 2 days, what can we do? It hurts him to pull fat or skin away to see or treat. It hasn t gotten worst nor any better.

Hi,

What you can do is to upload a close-up of skin lesion between fat folds. Usually, it is a fungal infection (dermatophytosis) in moist areas between fat folds of the abdominal wall, when the rest of the body skin is unaffected.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
