Suggest Treatment For Chills, Cough And Dizziness Despite Taking DayQuil

I have had a cough, drainage in my throat for 4-5 days. No fever but some chills, also some dizziness even sitting still for a matter of seconds. Dry cough especially at night. I have tried Dayquil and Mucinex and also twice at night taken Tylenol Sinus. Chest feels tight but no rattles or pain.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

Here if seems to be upper respiratory tract infection like bronchitis and post nasal drip...

Eustachian tube edema sometime in cold can lead dizziness...

Your Auscultation should be done and rhinoscopy nose examination done...

If rales heard on Auscultation than chest x ray needed

You can prescribed decongestant like phenylephrine antihistaminic drug...
Investigate with CBC... If high neutrophils with total count more than antibiotic prescribed

If eosinophils are high than fexofenedine course prescribed

Take care

Consult otorhinolaryngologist or physician for examination..
