Suggest Treatment For Chronic Anxiety And Panic Attacks
I HAVE SUFFERED WITH ANXIETY SINE CHIDHOOD. ITS GOTTEN WORSE OVER TIME AND IM NOW 55. IM NOW 55 AND HAD TO GO TO URGENT CARE FOR BLOOD PRESSURE 160/97 1ST TIME AND 180/? WHEN DR TOOK IT. I THOUGHT I WAS HAVING A STROKE, BUT HE SAID STRSS/ANXITY/PANIC SYSMPTONS. I NEVER USED A MEDICATION BEFORE AND NOT SURE WHAT I SHOULD DO NOW?? IM CLOSE TO LOSING MY JOB/FMLY DUE TO THESE SYPMTOMS,
At such high level of blood pressure if you have no cardiac problem then you are very lucky. However, you are suggested to control your blood pressure initially by taking medicines you have been prescribed and then by dietary changes & healthy lifestyle. Do not get dependent on medicines unless necessary.
Cut on salt intake, avoid salty food. Stay away from stress & anxiety, it will trigger BP and may initiate cardiac problems. Many people are loosing jobs, it should not be an issue though its difficult to adjust without one. For anxiety you can consult a Counselor or psychiatrist, you may require anti anxiety medicines or antidepressants. Avoid alcohol or addictions if any. Take home made nourishing food.
