Hello,

You seem to have lumbar disc prolapse disc injury due to accident. This caused compression on nerve roots leading severe pain in the back as well as weakness in legs and inability to walk. You need to consult a spine surgeon to assess the need for spine surgery.

For pain relief take NSAIDs like ibuprofen and Naproxen or Aceclofenac along with a muscle relaxant like chlorzoxazone taken twice daily for 3 weeks. To prevent gastric irritation, tab. Pantop 40 mg is to be taken once daily before food. If you have heart failure or kidney failure, NSAIDs are not to be used instead, opioids like Hydrocodone, Oxycodone and Tramadol can be used.

Epidural steroid and local anesthetic injection would help you reduce the pain considerably. Facetal joint steroid injections also help in pain relief and decrease in inflammation. Please discuss the above with a spine surgeon.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
