Hi,

Initially you can approach a either a physiotherapist or an orthopedist- he will give medications for temporary pain relief, advise you regarding exercise for spinal muscle strengthening and can tell you whether you need to consult a rheumatologist or not, depending on clinical details.

Inflammatory pain from back can suggest simple conditions like osteoarthritis or other chronic inflammatory conditions. Treatment varies depending on the cause, and include analgesics, physiotherapy and rarely needing immuno-modulatory drugs. Your doctor will guide you

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
