Suggest Treatment For Chronic Back Pain For A 59-year-old

I have off/on chronic back pain; I m 59 and family has a history of scoliosis. I just had a stretch where I was fine, back was weak, but no real pain...until yesterday...all day...pain so bad I was almost immobile; on a heating pad; taking 1200 mg (consciously not taking more) and could barely move. This has been hit and miss for 3-4 years. I do stretches but they don t sustain any long term effectiveness. Caveat: Worked a physically demanding job for 38 years...is there any back strengthening exercises...or am I just reaping what I ve sown?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is the scoliosis then it is depends upon the severity of condition, surgery is the option there to over come the pain and other difficulties but it is the question that patient should be qualified for that, second you can see the physiotherapist or orthopedic surgeon for best guidance, you can even see the rehab center hope this information helps.
I find this answer helpful
