Suggest Treatment For Chronic Back Pain, Forgetfulness And Depression

Hello Dr. Rynne and thank you for your time and expertise. My husband has a history of Melanoma skin cancer on his leg- about 5 years ago. It was removed and no further treatment was needed. Recently he has had multiple symptoms of chronic pain, back pain, forgetting things, one episode of completely forgetting how to get home from a familiar place, depression. He is 57. He was given diagnosis such as demylenating disease, and had a brain scan showing a S-1 lesion. I am sorry for the spelling, though I am educated, spelling is not my strong suit. Doctors have thrown around the diagnosis of MS, after an EMG and series of neurological tests. Could you offer some other suggestions for him of other tests or dx. Manyr Thanks, Christine

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern for your husband, look this could be little confusion one because in such case exact clinical examination is very must to come on some conclusion all the necessary report and imaging need to be studied in detain then and then something sure can be said, some time condition may not related with any of disease, melanoma does not cause such symptoms, neither MS, some other cerebral lesion could be the cause, MRI of brain need to be done, hope this information helps take care.
I find this answer helpful
