Suggest Treatment For Chronic Bronchitis

I have had chronic bronchitis for a few years now. Usually antibiotics clear it up when it gets to the pont I go to the Dr. Is there an antibiotic that would knock this out completely. BTW I am retired military and go to the Post Health Clinic at Redstone Arsenal AL

Hello,

I would like to give some tests:

1. Chest X-Ray
2. Sputum Tests (if possible)
3. Complete Blood Tests
4. Lung Function Tests

Now, I would like to give comprehensive treatment:

1. Azithromycin 500 mg orally once a day for 7 days
2. Inhaler Budesonide-formoterol 200/6 mcg: 2 inhalations orally twice daily for 6 months
3. Prednisone 50 mg orally once per day for 1 month

Please do the tests and post the results so that a doctor from here can give you any other treatments if required.

Do not worry. The comprehensive treatment has been started. You should feel comfortable from a 2nd week or so.
