Suggest Treatment For Chronic Cold, cough And Granules In Inner Ear
my daughter 11 years old was chronic patient of cold n cough with running nose. sitaution worsens with development of adrenoids at the age of just 7 years. Gradually, adrenoids reduced. As on date she had perforation in her right ear and doctor found some granules in her inner ear. Dr. is of opinion these granules are owing to inner bone dissolution and needs immediate surgery. Pls guide.
Adenoid enlargement with chronic adenoids have resulted in chronic cold in this patient, which could have caused chronic ear infection of ear, perforation, repeated infections together with ventilation block leads to granulations in the middle ear.Such cases i would recommend initial management with ear cleaning and instillation of ear drops together with oral antibiotic course. If no improvement then surgery is an option, but my recommendation would be to wait and watch till age 18 as the eustachian tube development is complete by then. The treatment is different if child is having attico antral disease,in such case immediate surgery is the first option.
