I had my gallbladder removed in 2008, since then I have had a foul odor and it leaks a thick creamy puss. At first, it was only happening like around my menstrual cycle, but recently, maybe the past 6 to 8 months it has been an ongoing thing. I was on antibiotics and they benefitted me for maybe a week and then the pus returned and worsened. I clean it daily with alcohol and peroxide. In 2010, I had a CT done with contrast and they did find a 3cm umbilical hernia but nothing was ever done about it. I do suffer from chronic constipation since the surgery and sometimes I am unable to have a bowel movement for a week or more at a time. I have tried everything from enemas, laxatives, castor oil--- You name it I ve tried it. I am concerned that with all of my straining and trouble going to the bathroom, I have forced my hernia to grow larger and it somehow has ruptured. Could this be possible?
