Suggest Treatment For Chronic Cough, Chest, Back And Shoulder Pain
I have had a cough for about 4 years now and chest/back/shoulder pain just recently started when I cough. I m always tired no matter how much I sleep and have no energy to even get out of bed usually. At times I feel dizzy, usually when I stand up but sometimes sitting as well. Could the cough just be respiratory issues or fluid in my lungs?
There are many reasons for cough but I will talk about 2 common reasons. These are COPD and Tuberculosis.
COPD can be of 2 types. These are chronic bronchitis and asthma. These can present with breathing difficulty, mucus secretion, and chronic cough.
Another cause includes infections like tuberculosis. In this case, one may have dizziness while standing up as there is pooling of the blood into the legs.
To confirm the cause one would need a spirometry test done. Once confirmed, you can start on inhalers to help with breathing or use antibiotics to help treat infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards, Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni
