Suggest Treatment For Chronic Cough In An Elderly Person

Hello, I am a 56 year old female with a chronic cough which has lasted for about 4 months. My doctor listened to my chest and said that I was fine. I do not know what to do. I have coughing attacks at work that make it hard to breathe. When I have the coughing attacks I am gasping for air. I would appreciate your recommendation. I am thinking of changing my doctor as well. Susan
