Suggest Treatment For Chronic Cough When Diagnosed With Bronchitis

chronic cough. I have allergies, today I was outside pulling weeds and started to cough and after a minute my airway closed. couldn t get air nasally or orally, I had an inhaler from the last time I was sick with bronchitis and took 3 puffs, airway started to open. this is not the first time this had happened. Do I have asthma? lung sounds are clear, CXR good, At times I do expectorated a clear mucus,

It is possible , if your symptoms are relieved by the use of ventolin or similar inhalers, that you do have asthma but a pulmonary function test would be able to definitively determine if this is the case.

This would give more information than the tests that you already have and would be administered by a pulmonologist- a doctor that specializes in lung conditions.

Asthma is one of the reasons for chronic cough. The other causes are post nasal drip and GERD.
