Suggest Treatment For Chronic Cough When Diagnosed With Sleep Apnea
I have a cough for almost a year. Have had a pulmonologist send me for a CTScan. It showed a little area with white on film. He said it was fluid. Could this possibly be something else? I have been to several doctors with this problem - can t sleep full night. Haven t been eating. Can t stop coughing day or night (with very little time in between when I am not coughing). No one seems to know what is causing coughing. I would like to go to a thoracic specialist in Marland area an need a name. I am desparate. I also have sleep apnea and some time on machine stops coughing, but only briefly.
Welcome to healthcaremagic.com. Sorry to read about your relentless cough. Do you have acid reflux? It is very hard to know this and many people say they done when in fact they do. Please note that; 1. acid reflux or GERD will cause a cough that lingers on unless treated with prescription medication like omeprazole. 2. The other cause could be post nasal drip that is constant causing you to cough and clear you throat. 3. The medication in the class of ACE inhibitors like lisinopril is notorious for relentless coughs.
Please write back and include any other symptoms and medical illnesses and medications that you may be taking. I hope this answers your question. Good luck.
