Suggest Treatment For Chronic Diarrhea And Abdominal Cramps
My husband has had diahorrea for nearly two weeks now. He gets stomach cramping and goes to the toilet at least once an hour. He refuses to go to the doctors and there is a family history or diabetes. What can I do diet wise to help ease the loose stools. His father died from Prostate cancer and we lost our eldest son to Rhabdomyosarcoma back in 1995.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have chronic diarrhea and abdominal cramps. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like gastroenteritis , food allergies , lactose intolerance , giardiasis , irritable bowel syndrome or appendicitis . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ultrasound , endoscopy or stool test . Doctor may prescribe omeprazole , laxative , ornidazole or albendazole . For now eat light and non spicy , take antacid after every meal, drink plenty of water and take light walk after every meal .
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
