Hello I have patient who is 45 years old with no comorbids presented in OPD with complaints of chronic diarrhoea, weight loss and anemia surgeon started steroids His Hb 5.8 with MCV 115 How should I proceed in this case LFTs normal RFTs normal TSH, folate and B12 levels are pending Regards

Chronic diarrhea can be due to bowel infections, infestations, parachutes or more probably food allergies (gluten allergy or lactose sensitivity).
Your patients all the stool investigations to exclude the possible causes one by one &come to the exact cause followed by specific treatment.
