I am a 74-y.o. male, with a history (1973 head trauma/5-week coma, and in 2006, carotid dissection, and was hospitalized at Sawtelle VA , with a stroke, but never lost consciousness), at which time I began taking Atenolol (50 mg, 1x), and BP was typically 150/68, and my blood sugar has been steady, albeit prediabetic, and for the last six months my walking has become definitely a shuffle. I discontinued taking Crestor, about a year ago, willing to risk returning to ~ 206 cholesterol, but unwilling to accept what I perceived as cognitive impairment. I have recently started taking Saw Palmetto, for a chronic enlarged prostate, which seems to be tolerated by my body (unlike Flomax, which produces edema so severe that shoes won t fit). About two or three weeks ago, I ordered some Garcinia Cambogia, lured by its effectiveness on Prediabetes, but woefully negligent (until now) in getting any professional second-opinion. Can you help me, Or should I just head for ??
