Suggest Treatment For Chronic Gastritis And Burning Sensation In The Stomach

I have gastritis and have had a problem for 9 yrs. Now I can only eat small amounts of food even though my appetite is good and the amount that can eat without getting sick to the stomach gets smaller and smaller. I m concerned because my stomach burns sometime when I eat.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a gastritis which is an inflammation of the stomach lining. I suggest to use antacids such as Maalox three times a day. I also suggest using Omeprazole 20 mg daily in the morning before breakfast. I recommend to avoid food that can trigger the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
