Suggest Treatment For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia In An Elderly Person
Hello there Dr, My dad, 70 yrs received results today he has Chronic Lymphocyctic Leukemia B- Cell type , anemic, low hemoglobin, low hematocrit...however has been sick for a week with bad headaches, no appetite, no sleep, pain in his legs. He also received the results from CT SCan that he has Hepatosplenomegaly. inflammation of the spleen and liver. Is this related to the leukemia? Why is he feeling so sick and is there something to help in the meantime during this waiting period to meet with the oncologist?kel

Hi thanks for contacting health care magic. I can understand your concern... You have diagnosed with CLL...hepatosplenomegaly present in leukemia ... You have not mentioned which drug you are using ... Chemotherapy needed in such case as like FCR regimen that is fludrabin , cyclophosphamide , rituximab ..... If your body tolerate chemotherapy well than complete course given in cyclic manner with few week intervals.....
