Suggest Treatment For Chronic Nausea And Constant Tiredness

Chronic nausea & constant tiredness. Can sleep for many hours even after an afternoon nap. Am diet controlled diabetic & COPD diagnosed. Have been referred to gastroenterologist, but should I be looking at lung fibrosis ie would that cause chronic nausea & aching. Have gone back to smoking to alleviate feeling sick & can feel changes in my right lung. Have recently coughed up an item similar to a hard pea. Have lost appreciation of food due to the nausea.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Considering your medical history, nausea can be related to any medication or gastrointestinal problems and your tiredness or fatigue is result of COPD, incomplete sleep and lack of oxygen. Kindly consult a physician personally for proper evaluation with pulse oximeter and few blood tests like CBC, KFT, X-ray chest and ABG, TFT. Kindly get these done for further treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
