Suggest Treatment For Chronic Neck, Shoulder And Back Pain

I am a 52 yr old widow. I have chronic neck, shoulder & lower back pain that i deal with. I have lost 55 + lbs in the last yr & a half. I am very pale. Exhausted yet very restless. My mother is being treated for Lymes disease & Rocky Mount Spotted fever & we live in the same neighborhood. I am under tremendous stress & pressure. I am worried about cancer as it runs in my moms family. My life story is long & complicated. I am without insurance at present time but should have within 30 days. Should I be concerned?

Hello,

The chronic neck and shoulder and lower back pain might be related to spinal cord changes at your age. Once you have the insurance, please set an appointment with an orthopedic specialist, and run Xray or MRI of the spinal cord for the right diagnosis.

Apply analgesic cream locally. Take magnesium, calcium, vit.D supplement.

The loss of weight is related to stressful situation you are going through. Once you get the insurance, do run some blood tests to determine the right diagnosis:
- CBC
- urine analysis
- liver/kidney function tests
- arthritis tests: CRP, rheumatoid factor, ASLO, ERS
- Thyroid function test (TSH, T3, T4)

For the moment, I can only suggest to take over the counter antalgesic, apply over the counter analgesic cream, and take glucosamine supplement.
