Suggest Treatment For Chronic Pain In Muscles And Nerves

Hello Dr s who treat pain (muscle, nerve and bone) I have been a chronic pain patient for 17 years now, Dr s have rx ed all the different anti-depressants, anti-seizure, herbal remedies, vitamins and minerals and even a spinal stimulator implate. My pain Dr and I weaned me off the outrageous Ms-cotin dose that a different pain group had me on and have no intention of ever putting me on any opiate medication again. I do take muscle relaxers ad NSAIDS, which we change often because my body adjust to medications so quickly. Which brings me to my question because we are out of ideas: do any of you know of a medication that could help me with the horrific pain that I suffer from? I thought about asking because I was put on Mestinon months ago for POTS which is normally used to treat myasthenia gravis. It has been helping me with the nerve and muscle pain but at some point every day I do wish I wasn t so against opiates. Anyone of you know or can think of any other medication that helps with different types of pain but used normally for an arthritis, nerve or muscle disease?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the possibility of auto immune disorder as polymyositis is seeming possibility here pertaining to narrated symptoms. I would like to re address the issue if you have your lab reports and X-ray or MRI reports available with you. However, the tramadol hydrochloride with acetaminophen is best prescription needed from your doc for such pain which does not contain opiates, but have best results equivalent to opiates as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
