General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I share your concern
I would advise you to get an MRI dome to establish a cause for this sharp shooting pain this can be related to disc problem or muscle spasm
If you can provide me more information like your age, any history of injury or since how long you have this problem, I will be bale to guide you better

In my opinion you should take multivitamin and calcium supplements
stretching exercises will definitely help you
Physiotherapy is advisable with infra red therapy or short wave diathermy radiation

Hope this helps you
wish you good health
