Hi,
Noted your short history about having horrible pain in abdomen, Doctors saying about nerves, IBS and physiological, they have given up.
Since there is horrible pain we have to know the cause, as this can not be physiological.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Take opinion of a
General Surgeon as well as of a Gastroenterologist.
Undergo all necessary investigations as mentioned below:
CT scan of abdomen.
MRI of the thoracic spine.
Tests of stool, blood and urine.
Urine to be placed in a container in sunlight to see if it changes color as seen in
porphyria.
Upper GI
Endoscopy and
Colonoscopy.
Any other tests as would advised on clinical examination.
All these would help to get a proper cause and thus get treated accordingly.
If all the investigations are within normal limits then this can be treated as IBS that is
irritable bowel syndrome.
Avoid stress and anxiety.
Also identify the factors, foods and beverages that instigate or enhance the pain and stop these altogether.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
