Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Chronic allergic rhinitis recent flare up causing mostly postnasal drip in mouth creating inflamed gums.Am gargling saltwater &taking antihistamines along with ibuprofen /gets worse at night & creates extreme sensitivity in bottom teeth.Should I try corticosteroids (nasal spray )to relieve the nasal cavity?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, gums swelling may not be due to post nasal drip, other symptoms of allergy can be best treated with "Tab Loratadine with Pseudoephedrine" three time in day, have more drinking water, steam inhalation, hot shower, for the gums swelling better to see the dentist, hope this information helps, take care, and have a nice day.
