Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
To Whomever This May Concern, I hope all is well with you :-) I have chronic sinus problems like a blocked nose and pain in the air pockets of my face. I was wondering if there is a permanent solution to it, and if it is expensive. It would be nice to actually have five senses instead of four (I can t smell properly). Yours Truly, J
Thanks for writing in HCM. I have gone through your question.
As you have not mentioned anything about the previous treatment that you have taken. First it is better to see ENT specialist for examination once.
Based on the little information that you have provided, i would suggest you to do a steam inhalation for to five times a day.
Nasal decongestants, available as over the counter medication can be take. These medications are generally taken for a few days at most; otherwise they can cause the rebound congestion.
I in clinic on examination would have also considered nasal corticosteroids. These nasal sprays help prevent and treat inflammation.
Yet again, I duly appreciate your query to me, I do hope that you have found something useful to help you and I shall be glad to answer any further apprehensions.
Sincerely,
I find this answer helpful
