Suggest Treatment For Clogged Ears

I went swimming and my ears felt clogged. I tried cleaning them out to get water out but they were still clogged. I figured this was because of excess wax in my ear, so I used drops hoping it would clear it up. However, my ear is now even more clogged and hurts occasionally when burping, blowing nose etc. I also have trouble hearing out of this ear.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello! Thank you for writing us here.
Well you can try cleaning it with water. Yes it do sounds little weird but you can. It would remove the wax and let the water fro inside come out.
Also you can consider going to an ENT specialist to get the wax removed. Don't use some earbud or pin. Let a doctor do it for you okay? Its more safe and also you'll get better hearing after the wax is completely removed.

Best regards,
Dr Gunjan
