Suggest Treatment For Cold After Taking A Steroid Shot
my daughter has a cold, went to an urgent care 2 days ago because she is going on a major hiking trip on sunday and wants to feel her best. the urgent care doctor gave her a steroid shot and steroid pills to take but she is not feeling better. no fever, just a bad head cold and achy joints. My question is, can the steroid pills be causing the aching joints?

She may have the flu. The flu would cause the cough and cold symptoms along with aching joints and muscles.
The steroid shot should not cause her joints to hurt though persons react differently to medication.
Rest, fluids and paracetamol would be helpful.
