Suggest Treatment For Cold And Congestion In Infant
My 9 month old has had a cold for the past week - nothing serious (just congestion). Last night she ran a fever of 102 and now her congestion is worse...causing her breathing to be a bit more rapid, plus, her tongue is out of her mouth a lot. I am still nursing her, and that is working fine. She doesn t seem too interested in water though - should I take her to a doctor? I m most worried about the tongue thing - is that a symptom of anything? She isn t coughing really. Thanks.
Hi, It seems that she might be having lower respiratory tract infection and perhaps might developing pneumonia. Due to fever and fast respiration she might put her tongue out. Take her to pediatrician as early as possible and start the treatment as early as possible. Ok and take care.
