As I understand from what you have written above, your child has a
cough for three weeks. I understand this is what concerns you. First thing I suggest you do is to, take her to a
pediatrician as soon as possible, because a lung examination is necessary. It's a long time of a cough for her.
You can give her
Paracetamol syrup if the temperature doesn't decrease. Also, you can give her
Ibuprofen syrup for temperature, in case it doesn't decrease three hours after giving to your child Paracetamol, but first I suggest you discuss this with your pediatrician. However, you don't have to be concerned when the temperature is 37.5:
- You can wash her hands and legs, with lukewarm water, not with warm water.
- You can also avoid wearing her many clothes.
- You have to give her more fluids then normally and feed her well because high temperature makes her lose fluids.
