Suggest Treatment For Cold And Cough

I had a really bad cold that started last week. Mostly fever and sinus. Friday it went to my chest. I am now coughing so hard it feels like my appendix is going to burst and the ribs in my back will puncture my lungs. I was taking Musinex D - is there anything else that will do a better job?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of cough and cold which is severe in nature and it is due to chest infection and it could be due to throat infection as well. It seems immunity of your body is getting impaired. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined completely and get X-ray chest done. Start treatment after proper examination. If bronchitis is ruled out then you should go for swab and sputum test. Start treatment after proper diagnosis is made out. Till then take proper course of antibiotics to you. Take steam inhalation.
