Suggest Treatment For Cold And Runny Nose

Hi Doctor, I have this problem of running nose when ever i have cold. Some times i take citragin to suppress the allergy and i will be alright. I have used this amway allergy nasal spray and it proved to be very effective on advice of a Doctor. Now i am away from my previous station and can t contact the doctor.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of cold and runny nose which is due to infection of nasal and paranasal sinuses.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for paranasal sinus X-ray done if it is repeated infection. You should avoid use of spicy, sharp oily and fried food substances. You should do nasal saline rinses 3-4 times a day. You should avoid cold carbonated beverages. You should take combination of antibiotic Levofloxacin along with antihistamine such as Levocetirizine.
