Suggest Treatment For Cold, Cough And Fever

Hi I am suffering from cold , cough and fever from past few days. As suggested by doctor I did the test for Maleria and Typhoid but both were negative. But still I am unable to get rid of cold , cough and fever. I have been taking zifi 200, please can you suggest me some other medicines. Will it be good to take Fynal 500?

Hello Dear. Do not go for self medication. Always consult a doctor and take medications accordingly. Your doctor will obviously prescribe you the medicine which he feels best for you. In case you are not relieved kindly go to the same doctor for follow up who may change the medication or may do some other lab tests to diagnose the condition and treat you accordingly.

There are various causes for fever with cough cold.

1. Viral fever
2. malaria
3. Typhoid
4. dengue
5. Chickungunya
6. Measles

The list goes on and on

You need to get tested for all these and then the doctor will decide which is better. Zifi 200 is a cephalosporin group of antibiotic which is broad spectrum and covers much more organisms than Fynal which is lesser antibiotic compared to Zifi. Still it is your doctor who should decide which is better after examining you thoroughly and doing all the tests.
